We first visited Carcassonne in 1989 and we were so enchanted with the fairytale castle and beautiful surrounding countryside that we had a strong desire to see more of the region.

Many years after our first visit, we moved the whole family to live near Carcassonne. Although we live and work in the unspoilt Razes countryside 25 minutes from Carcassonne, we have always desired to own a house beneath the medieval ramparts of the Carcassonne Cite.

Townhouses rarely become available but in 2008 we had the good fortune to find a house in “Rue de la Gaffe” complete with a roof terrace !

One year later we took possession of a run down block of 5 apartments located on the historic thoroughfare between the medieval city and Carcassonne center called Rue du Pont Vieux. The full renovation of “34, Pont Vieux” was completed in 2011 and it is now our great pleasure to open both our luxury apartments and our town house to travellers and first time visitors alike so that they can enjoy the unique character of this dramatic and unspoilt region of France.
